In the wake of the 3050 clan invasion Nicolai Malthus of the Jade Falcon Clan conquers Somerset in the Federated Commonwealth. The forces defending the planet are led by Commander Andrew Steiner. Meanwhile Major Adam Steiner, an instructor of the famous Nagelring academy on Tharkad learns that his brother was defeated at Somerset. He uses the fact that he is a distant cousin of Archon Melissa Steiner to form a small expeditionary force which will attempt to liberate Summerset and gather information about the unknown invaders. After the requisition of an draconian jumpship and its crew Adam Steiner and his newly founded 1st Somerset Strikers start their mission to retake Somerset.
